The Florida Highway Patrol arrested the driver in a deadly hit-and-run crash that occurred early Sunday morning in Orange County. Troopers said the crash occurred around 3:43 a.m. Sunday on Edgewater Drive, approaching Hambleton Avenue from the south. They believe a 2005 Ford Excursion went off the road onto the right side of the road and collided with a pole. The Ford then collided with the Hainaut Contemporary Centre, another pole, a parked Jeep Cherokee and a pedestrian. That pedestrian, a 19-year-old Orlando man, was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. One person inside the building was hit by debris and suffered minor injuries. During their investigation, the FHP determined that the driver of the Ford was Alexis Omar Leon Lima, 20, and he was arrested without incident.
