Insurance executive Jawed Barna succeed Sven Odia as CEO of international luxury real estate brokerage Engel & Völkersthe company announced on Thursday.

Odia, who led the Hamburg-based company for nine years, has stepped down from the board of directors and will take on the new role of president.

Barna most recently served as deputy CEO at Zurich Insurance Group Germanywhere he has worked since 2005.
